Greg Macionsky, ATC
My decision to pursue athletic training as a career came out of my love for sports, interest in human anatomy, and desire to have a positive impact on others. I was fortunate to have never suffered a major injury during my 12 years playing baseball, but the appreciation I have for the profession grew out of witnessing the hard work, dedication, and professionalism that these individuals displayed.
I received my undergraduate degree from West Chester University in May of 2010 with a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training. Following graduation I was hired as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Penncrest High School/Springton Lake Middle School where I worked from August 2010 through August 2013. The most rewarding part of my job was helping young athletes recover from injuries sustained during games and practices, and allowing them to get back on the field in a safe and timely manner.
I was hired in August of 2013 by Kinetic Physical Therapy to help grow the Adolescent Sports Medicine Program. My responsibilities within the program include: assisting in the rehabilitation, education, and safe return to play for adolescent athletes. Furthermore I played an integral part in developing Kinetic’s Return to Running Protocol which safely progresses adolescent athletes, of any participation level, from an injury back to full participation in their sport.
When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my wife Ellen, our son James, and our dog Auggie. I also like to play golf, hike, run and read. I am an avid baseball fan, and love spending time watching the Phillies at Citizen’s Bank Park.
